Microsoft Cloud UAE prepares to offer tools to build the Metaverse

According to Microsoft Cloud's chief operating officer in the UAE, the metaverse will have an impact on every sector of the economy, including manufacturing, transportation, and healthcare.

Microsoft's COO for the UAE, Ihsan Anbatawi, revealed a number of products to bring to life the software giant’s vision of the Metaverse.

In order to let people connect in a hybrid world, Microsoft views the metaverse through presence and connection in any location. The company wants to engage its customers and employees to new experiences, such as taking on a creative role and joining a community. The metaverse, in Anatabi's opinion, is essential to the UAE's efforts to transform its workplaces and digital infrastructure as well as to streamline its operations business models.

The business is simultaneously placing a number of products to make its Metaverse offerings a reality. The first is a product, an Internet of Things (IoT) platform that uses mixed reality technology to provide digital representations of real-world objects, business operations and people.

Microsoft HoloLens2 is a headset that connects directly to the Microsoft cloud for data analysis, iterative testing and artificial intelligence. It was released in the UAE on July 20, 2022. Companies can produce a replica of the physical product and analyze the accompanying data before investing using the holographic technology of the device.

“We see this device as a crucial element of the metaverse with an abundance of applications, where Kawasaki now uses HoloLens to build robots for the factory floor,” he added.

Additionally, remote medical aid is made possible by the device. It allows developers to access teams, collaborative apps, and purpose-built apps and purpose- built apps. Apart from customizing their avatar for meetings using meshes, the device helps redefine the meeting experience according to Anabatavi.
