BCH, ETC, XLM & XRP Will No Longer Be Supported By Coinbase Wallet

The native tokens linked to Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Ripple's XRP Ledger (XRP), and Stellar (XLM) will no longer be supported by Coinbase Wallet as of December 5, according to a website update from the cryptocurrency exchange.

On December 5, the assets will no longer be supported, however, users with balances will still be able to withdraw money using a recovery phrase.
The four currencies, which all gained significant notoriety during the 2017 bitcoin bull market, were delisted by Coinbase due to "poor use," according to the company.

According to CoinGecko, XRP continues to be the seventh-largest cryptocurrency with a market cap of $19.6 billion and a 24-hour trade volume of nearly $1 billion across all exchanges.

Since their release more than five years ago, BCH and ETC, forks of the two most widely used cryptocurrencies, ether (ETH) and bitcoin (BTC), have both lost a sizable portion of the overall cryptocurrency market share.
